For anyone wanting to be more energetic, High Bickington has a challenging a golf course.

High Bickington provides all the usual village amenities, but for anyone wishing for more the nearest towns are Barnstable, Bideford, Torrington and South Moulton, all can be found within an approximate 10 mile radius of the village Bideford gives access to the River Torridge and the sea, and Barnstaple lies on the estuary of the River Taw.
