Thanks Vince. No, it wasn't anything to do with me living in the Southern Hemisphere.Rachel Sussman wrote a book called "The Oldest Living Things in the World" and she has a website.I looked at the photos she has on that website and chose three possible answers from the living things in the Southern Hemisphere.

What is the name of the mineral that about 80% of the world's population is deficient in?This mineral is a required cofactor in 700-800 enzyme systems and there are at least 56 conditions associated with a deficiency of this mineral and many people buy tablets containing this mineral to improve their health. Some people rub an oil containing this mineral on their skin as another method of absorbing this mineral. It is important in preventing heart arrhythmia, migraines and calcium oxalate kidney stones.

Yes Ruth, it's magnesium.Well done

Leafy greens like kale, spinach, and Swiss chard are rich sources. Other good choices include quinoa, lentils, almonds, dark chocolate, sesame seeds, and spirulina.Magnesium tablets are best taken with 50 mg vitamin B6 for better utilization.Recently, scientists claimed that magnesium slows aging by preventing the shortening of telomeres and reducing free radical damage to DNA.In animal studies, magnesium together with vitamin K2 prevented calcium deposits in arteries.

Ok let's see how we go with this.

I am about 5000 years old, and the oldest of my kind in the world. What am I and where am I ?
