I'm discounting buildings at the moment as all the buildings between 500AD up to the Norman Conquest seem to be churches. But it could be something in a church Undecided

Padstow Obby Oss, that claims to have its roots in the Celtic festival of Beltane. It's certainly ugly.

I saw an old ugly hollow oak tree called The Capon Tree on the banks of the River Jed near Jedburgh. It used to be called The Hanging Tree.

Another old tree is the Fortingall Yew in Fortingall,Scotland.
