I like buscuits and for that very reason I don' thave them in my house to much these days...but do I have some downstairs that need baking right now.I can see that "Ron" is no veteran pill taker is he..that's ok, you have some getting older to do . I picked up my sister for her birthday..and she really looks quite miserable...she went to an beauty shop to get and hot wax treatment to remove some hair on her face..she looks as bad as when I burned myself at Christmas. Beleive me, it "hurts" when its at the "bubbly" stage of being burnt. I am making her an sugar free..fat free as much as possible "fresh fruit" birthday cake. It will be thin pound cake slices topped with sugar free vanilla pudding and fresh green grapes, blueberries, strawberries, one necterine, in stevia sweetener...on top the pudding with sugar free whip cream on the side.. with some chocolate grated on top of it.We are taking her out to breakfast tomarrow morning also. I am hoping to give her an "spa type bath" tonight and ler her wash her hair before I warm up where she's sleeping tonight..so she can crawl into an warm bed for an change..nice and clean. She looks like she could really use this right now. I would guess that any other person would be suing the beauty shop by now. I was being an good wife today when I bought my hubby half an case of his favorite beer in bottles...cans come an dime an dozen, but bottles these days are not easy to find it in any more. But you know..Super bowl Sunday...and have some cheese dip and some taco refried bean dip/salsa already made with an nice topping of all the fresh goodies and an pizza supreme if he wants it..for the game. I don't plan on having to make dinner Sunday if he eats all this. My have things ever changed around this house! Grand kids...hum. My daughter in-law quit her partime job with the bus services...she was looking pretty tired anyway...she only has an little bit of time left for her college classes before she can get her certification. I think she said two semester classes left. They have basically been living without an "mom" and wife...with her getting an higher education. My grandson just came in..talk to you all later on! |

Not at all what I was thinking how the evening was going to go. But then again... you can't beat " warm" cookies and icey cold milk. Just finsished listening to "coasttocoast" tonight also. Some guy that made an movie with others telling thier weird stories and encounters of seeing various animals..like bigfoot..the thunderbird..and what not. He said he'd like to get him in touch with the scify channel on TV as his movie is 75 minutes long and sounded interesting. I guess I should not say this, but will anyway...these kinds of creatures and wild dogs in an event of some kind that would be disasterous enough to see them roaming "wild" are an couple of cases of why I don't want complete gun control...you just never know when you might have to defend yourself against some of these things. I don't think that I'm to unsual thinking that way for folks out in the country either. My kids say that they have already had an cougar type cat that's been seen out at their place..and you wanna bet the neighbors have guns they can " fire in the air" and scare it away. Other neighbors have horses, there's cattle across the street..there's chickens next to the horses...and wild deer in the area also...so why not an cougar coming around to the area. They also don't let their dogs out at night for that reason also. Loraine was telling me this summer when she was staying an month up at the Mt. Hood RV resort they were having problems with an bear in the park. Oregon still has some of them that come in and down the river valleys and into town from time to time. this is Not... New York City...and to make rules for those folks... is an different situation here for these folks. Estacada...just an few miles south of where my kids live...there are places there that have been shown on TV because of their famous bigfoot filmage. My friend that lived up there use to have an borderline along her property. electric fence.. along with building in her entire back porch and patio and having her dogs out back on the porch enclosed... for between outside and her house for protection. The "bigfoot" film was made about an 1/2 mile south of her house. It's nothing overly scarey, but she never wanted to take chances...she didn't have an gun, but her neighbor next door had one. She usually always had someone there with her though..and was really truly seldom never completely alone in the area by herself...They were talking to another guy tonight on the radio from Oregon...said when he saw three bigfoot creatures he was at an quary over in the west Cascade mountains on an National Guard excerise...he wasn' t the only one that saw them either ..him and two others were in an humvee going on an old logging road and was across an ravine when they spotted them..he said the biggest looked like it was maybe 9 foot tall. ..they didn't stay in the area. He said he wasn't scared so much because he was in an moving vehicle...but he said it completely changed his mind as to them being just an "myth". Nope, you'll never get the people here to accept strict gun laws...not with what we know is out there roaming around sometimes. Same thing with "camping"...never go it alone...more the merrier..when it comes to groups and people also. I guess I go back to bed for tonight..... I think I can sleep after all this....smiles* |
