Sk Lawson![]() Posts: 4014 Joined: 7th Oct 2010 Location: USA | Posted at 21:10 on 25th January 2013 Ron, I'm not sure just where "red cent" shows up in the post, I kind of quickly skimmed over it and didnt' see it. Not having an "red cent"....Ron means no money...for some reason the color red is associated with money. Though they will probably be working on red colored "fake money" some day. We use to take 14 caret gold over leaf..came in thin sheets...and in my case...painted doves with some kind of red colored adhesive, let it set up an bit and place the on the gold leaf and paint it down with an clean paint brush...use to do that with " Enid" Carter, an friend of my sister's whom worked for the Portland Post office in thier "office". She became friends with her I think from an college class she took one time. She was an older lady...lived up on Mt. Scott near the Golf course a long time ago.We had never had done this kind of "ceramics" before we did this. I did an Santa drinking Pitcher one time that okk four different " firings"..I ened up giving it to an old neighbor named "Sue" many years ago, it was an "first" also. Especially the so called "puff" paint for this beard. You ought to see the recent beaded bracelet my daughter in-law just made, it turned out really nice. Looks like it was an lot of work also. My beading was at one time into tiny itty bitty beads in making an red band and fitting it with an small ivory "eagle" on top..but I gave my beading board to Charles..one makes the "angels" out of paper clips...I can't get ahold of the eagle and beads these days..I had to near have an manifying glass and an special thin wire and like Sarah, tie off each strand, so if it ever broke, all the beads wouldn't be lost. My project this year will most likely be the "chairs"I'm going to paint to add to an outside patio table...that comes later on though. I slept yesterday like time was there for nothing else. in the last 24 hours, I've was awake some nine hours...rest of that I was sleeping and some of it, out of body..listening to "Ancient Aleins" on tv. One of the episodes they seem to think that "bigfoot" is an subteranean creature that was called in Zacharish Stitichen's book as known as "Enki" an special speices "made" humanoid worker for the so called "Gods" to extract Gold from the earth. They have been seen coming of some types of UFO's in the past also. All I know is the "Scouts" decided one year to stay over night up at "Ape Caves" near Mt. St. Helen's after touring them... with an "legend" of them hanging around there..... I opted out for the night... and came back home.Linda Moulton Howe says there have been cattle muilations in some of the areas they have been seen in..yet others seem to think they are vegetarians. I'd perfer not to find out myself. Three days ago on the front of the local paper is wild loud screams beign heard abotu 10 miles north of the Umatilla Indian Reservation..they think could be one such creature "esparated" from it's group somehow..if not an cougar or wolf...but no one is going out there specialcally to investigate it exactly...and it's been snowing and cold there also. How close the Umatilla Miltary Depoe that use to store "mustard gas" is to the Reservation I have no idea. But they supposedly cleaned out the chemicals...and I've heard of UFO's moving around it in the past also. I have an link for you all..concerning your weird Engish weather as of late, reguarding snow more severe then the last 20 years...if it doesnt' go through.... go to www.earthboppin.net...earthwatchers board...it's there is an link...about the recent split in the Polar Vortex at the North Pole http;//www.dailykos.com/story/2013/01/16/1179397-Sudden Statasphere_Warming-Split-the-Polar-Vortex-in-Two....this was an tricky link to post because of the capitals in the link. It boils up to someone may not know their weather modifcation 101 classes very well. Article has nice graphics to it. Might be worth noting....with that I go for now...have an good weekend everyone! |
Sk Lawson![]() Posts: 4014 Joined: 7th Oct 2010 Location: USA | Posted at 22:04 on 25th January 2013 My post turned out terrible...or at least from what I am seeing from this end of it...better go to earthbopin for the link..it looks like an "drunk" wrote the last post...not me. I also wrote Ron an Post about taking "Burdock".... but I think I might of lost it also. If you can find it...I suggest...Dr. Andrew Weils "Mindbody Tool kit"it takes you through "breath work"...meditations...guided imagery...and sound therapy...I bought mine some years back at "Borders"...for $20..it contains in the kit...2 audio CD's...52 page workbook and 23 mind-training cards. It's about the size of an standard sized paper back novel...so it's easy to take with you anywhere...and it's not complicated either. I was referred to him after my heart surgery to help me learn to breathe better for healing and to eliminate stress factors if I come across any. I had such fun doing it the first time...I did it at least until I knew how to do the deep breathing and it has come in handy....like when I recently burned myself. When you learn it..it helps it minimize "Pain". One of his training cards...from excerise one...."follow your breath"...purpose..an simple and powerful form of meditation, an relaxation method, and an way to harmonize body, mind, and spirit. (1)Sit in an comfortable position, eyes closed and back straight..loosen any tight clothing (2) Focus your attention on your breathing, don't try to influence it...(3)Follow the contors of the breath cycle through inhalation and exhalation, and see if you can perceive the points of one phase into the next. ..(4)Do this at least an few minutes...after you wake up every morning and before you go to bed at night. Tip...your goal is to keep your attention on the breath. When you use the tool kit to learn how to breath correctly and then do this..it becomes an way to calm yourself in any situation your feeling or facing...then you go onto more explicit cards..until you learn to do the deepest kind of breathing. You do all the techinques at your own rate of speed. I wrote down notes doing this..I found out that it seemed like I was continually taking quick "wispy type" breathes as I was breathing...and learned later on that this does not make the oxygen get into the blood cells..which makes an person not only tired...but not as able to heal themselves. By day two of practicing this my notes say I was feeling myself "detached" from my body in ways..by day three my notes said I was expereincing some kind of deep state of relaxation... counting my breathes...the imagitatry cards... put me into an sleep of its own. My notes on day four said I had made it through the first tape..and I realized with the "kindness" meditation..that all pain left my body..and I was not an nurtured child growing up..I pretty well supplied my own comfort in life... in any way I could. By day 5 I walked myself through the lessons, but noted I needed more individual work on my own..hardest part of the training is to do things " naturally" and not force them on yourself..let things take you instead "naturally"....day 6 was all about taking yourself to "focusing" if your mind wanted to wander off task. I was dreaming with less anxiety now...not as stressed or feeling any pain...relaxed.. Most the time...reguardless of what I am doing Day 7 is an day I get away and just enjoy myself..my " day of rest". I would look forward to doing these excerises every night before bed or when I could during the day...you almost "bond" with this guy... and the other one as if your really there and they are an personal coach or something. He even one time said gently..I know it's not easily when your nose if stuffed up and I almost answered back..how did you know that one?..that my nose was stuffed up at the moment...and laughed. Maybe that's what you earn as you do the medication techniques?...but it did clear for me afterwards. This weekend is my grandson's 11th birthday..he's going to "Wunderland" for electronic games and laser tag with his friends..hubby and I pooled together and gave him each $20, and last night some decorated cupcakes. We might stop by and might not...depends on how things go tomarrow. Have an good weekend! |

Red Cent... |
Sk Lawson![]() Posts: 4014 Joined: 7th Oct 2010 Location: USA | Posted at 19:23 on 26th January 2013 Thanks Ron....red cent in this case means "Nadda"..."zero"....and I might add that if your not as an individual earning at least $16,000 an year over here, you probably can't rent an apartment, drive and own an car, go out once in an while, and have an average lifestyle. It is the going rate in my area for decent survival. it also takes in the 20 per cent health insurance company's don't pay for health care. It was an federal examination and survey of living cost these days.Even I participated in the weekly grocery trips for an month. In which I found out that having things like deterregent to wash your clothes and toliet products, pet foods can add up to as much as what many people use for food alone. I was chosen because I have done food and marketing survey's before. People on assistance were claiming that they weren't given enough money to cover family expenses. Rather you rent or own an home, many people are paying close to around $1,000 an month just for an roof ovr their heads. Even if you own the house outright, there are appliances to keep up to date, and painting, and carpeting, floors, etc to mainain it...water heaters, roofs..it is an on going expense in some way..if you want to keep up your resale values..or rent the place out at some time. I hope later on to go and look at bathroom faucets for the sink I bought last week. "Fitness Gardens"....can be made into any front or back yard...with an small circular jog path...it can include...benches for doing sit up, tree limbs cut for chin ups or arm stretches, an gravel area for using an rake like an rowing machine, and elevated rocks or stairway for climbing, and perhaps an small pool where you can sit and kick you legs throught he water....and end it all with an small patio table near some bird feeders to relax in and re-hydrate with water after working out...and watch the birds. Naturally it should also incldue seasonal flowers. The maintence of the garden lanscape also adds "excerise". ...... An idea for Spring I suppose. I have an house full this morning..and one of them is still alseep, Imade the other an nice pancake breakfast. They both have to make it out to their house here soon to go to an birthday party. I see that "Prince" is bad mouthing "Madonna" this morning, I guess they have done so in the past...and I must say his buttocks sticking out in his yellow silk pants while singing "Cream" was an thing of it's own some days back, raises an eyebrow*....and also... Burt Reynolds is in the hospital in Florida fighting this newest flu bug and getting re-hydrated again from having it.....might not be an good time to go to Florida this winter. They had snow couple days ago in the mid-west with high radiation levels for some reason...Japan? They said that 55 per cent of the kids in Japan around the power plant went astray over there between 11 years old and 18 have thyroid problems now. In the meantime as debris washes in on the shores of Hawaii, they are out there checking it for high concentrations of radiation also. What an morning..maybe we should have an radiation detector in the house. .....guess I'll go for now. |

Hope you are all well - anyone seen or heard from James? Just after I logged in yesterday our power suddenly went off - so I am assuming the storm we got later had taken out a sub station somewhere! Oh dear! Another couple of months of it and hopefully we will be back to normal again! |

He genealy pops in for an few minutes regualrly.... I stayed up and listened to one of the most interesting shows last night on "coasttocoastam.com" about an new book coming out today rehashing and updating an old book about UFO's by some of the people so really well known in the subject. John Lear came in alsoand talked an bit last night. News...Queensland is under water from teh cyclone, 35 people known dead now. Picking up the pieces..... Sen. Alex Padilla in California will on Monday introduce an bill to develope and adapt an statewide alert system to send out alerts of earthquake as they first start shaking...the alerts will be tied into warnings systems on computer and your smart phone. It will give an 30 to 60 second chance for people to evaucate ot seek shelter. Now...this is something I've promoted since they had those comptuer "weather bug" beeping systems for bad weather on the computer also...they need to extend this to TV sets also..as well as radio's.If you have ever been in an earthquake, your first response as they start is...what's that?...this would eliminate it... to doing something quickly instead... also.in 60 seconds I can be out of my two story house. But another thing arises also..and that is in the higher magnitude quakes...people can't move in them for the shaking...for th emost part they can't even stand up. Literally...this might help with that situation. Finally, with those pack packs that can fly and be guided...in the taller buildings...they need developed also....as far as I know people in buildings...there is no fire truck system for anything over 8 stories high...but in this case...with an back pack on...people could fly out windows to safety perhaps. Since they have handlebars on them they could be guided where to land also...maybe to the roof tops of lower buildings around in the area. Had we had an system like that during 911...I think more people would of survived it. So today is one of promise in the world of better things to come maybe. As to the cost, how much is one's life worth?..or the life of an love one. I feel the same way about automobiles...if they had an button you pushed and could go straight up in the air...think of the accidents that wouldn't happen..and if they had "helicopter" type sterring, it would elminate going off the road into ravines..or bridges out also.they have the techonology to do this..just they can't think of way to make it affordable for most families and that is the sorrow of today'sworld...high prices. I am angry at the heartless bankers...that tagged on an 4 per cent surcharge to credit cards...how truly blantantly "selfish"...they deserve to go out of business...they do not encourage it that is for sure. I liken them to Satan these days...enjoying the persecutions they pass out against our will against us..Of course this will never hurt those that have all kinds of money to deduct fees off their income taxes...never has...but what about the low income folks that might need their card to eat off due to higher utilty costs in winter...for them it is an different subject. Or the people that need to evacuate their homes to an differnt locale because of an hurricane temporarily...or have medical costs where they have to pick up the 20 per cent on that health insurance doesn't pay. Esp for the "limited" income people that are most likely to use them in an true need in some way. Shame on them...they are indeed so heartless...so very cold and heartless..I beleive others are correct when they say that they live such high " life styles" that they don't "see" anyone under them any more...they just don't "exist" in thier life at all. I had an boss like that once, I had no qualms about working for him and making him wealthier and sucessful..while he treated me like an mere pleasant for his pleasure trips in the world...simply because I knew how to run his business while he want' there...I quit. I take it he didnt' stay around either afterwards from what I know...he let the business go "belly up". Selfish Selfish Selfish. I wonder when we can go to the President and get an nice hefty "bail-out"?...esp since we are made to pay fo rthem to begin with...rather we have the money or don't have the money at times.Here...you try going without for an while...some of us are tired of it. With that I go for this morning...I worked considerably yesterday on my book writing and started it over again in ways..so it would sound and flow an bit better....Have an good day! |
