But as Sue says ther are many more great pubs on show here......This could be a very popular link Milo....I like your thinking sir!!!!! Found in the centre of Bodmin Moor Cornwall, this windswept inn was saviour of many a traveller ( although for a period of it's history it was in fact a temperance house ) . Brought to life after a stay by Daphne du Maurier, she wrote her famous book of the same name and now the Inn is known worldwide. The Inn has the reputation of being one of the most haunted places in Britain, I know! we did not sleep well there- it was not the sighting but the possibility that kept us awake!!! James Prescott Posts: 25953 Joined: 11th Jan 2010 Location: UK	quotePosted at 21:50 on 20th November 2011 the traditional british pub is in decline sorry to say,they are closing down everywhere due to the brewery charging too much rent and increasing the price of a pint just when it suits them. another point is the appearance of the managers who dont seem to have a dress code these days,gone are the times when the landlord respected his customers now its a case of take it or leave it. there has been 5 closures in my area in 3 weeks --pubs i used to frequent for years.
