About The Gore

One of our top picks in London.Established in 1892, The Gore Hotel – Starhotels Collezione is a charming boutique hotel located in the heart of South Kensington, offering 50 lavishly-appointed bedrooms packed with history. Free WiFi is available. All the rooms at The Gore are individually furnished with hand-picked pieces, period pictures and ornate feature beds, as well as offering Wi-Fi access and flat-screen TVs. Bed linen, dressing gowns and towels come from Italian luxury linens specialist Frette. Many of the rooms are marked by vivid colors, ornate gilded mirrors, oak-carved four-poster beds, and other individual pieces of antique furniture. The Gore's on-site restaurant delivers classic British cuisine with a contemporary French twist from French Michelin starred Chef Daniel Galmiche. The Bar 190 is best known as the location for the launch and photoshoot for The Rolling Stones’ 1968 album Beggars Banquet and offers an extensive range of spirits, with notably large collections of whiskeys and rums. Just a short walk from Kensington Palace, Hyde Park, the Natural History Museum, the Science Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum, Harrods and the chic designer boutiques of Knightsbridge. The shopping, theaters, sightseeing and nightlife of the West End are just 10 minutes away by bus or Tube.
