About Barbrook

Barbrook, situated in Devon, England, is a village in close proximity to the source of the West Lyn River. The village's post office and shop ceased operations on September 27, 2008. Along the A39, the listed former schoolhouse stands, while a petrol station and shop are currently located at the junction of the A39 and B3234. Notably, Barbrook has historical significance, having experienced the impact of the 1952 Lynmouth Flood. Evidence of this event includes a sign in Cherrybridge displaying the height of the floodwater and a memorial garden at the site where two houses collapsed into the river.
