When you hit the quote button on someones post (like I just did yours) their post will appear in the text box, and you can reply to them. You can also edit their post, as I did yours. 

Thinks to self, I could edit a few posts made by some of the more obnoxious members, couldn't I   .

You are posting ok Ray. The quote is for you to use so you dont have to type in everyting that someone else has said. Just click on quote, on the persons post and up it pops on yours.

This is what happens Ray (as above), it copies your text in order that you can then edit it, or use it against some of the less savoury members within the forum! Try it, it doesn't matter if you get it wrong!
