According to a book published in 1883 "History of Pottawattamie County, Iowa" in addition to land he owned in Iowa, Charles Casson owned 160 acres in Wayne County, Neb.  Thomas Casson (who married Mary Briggs) was his son.  They had 9 children.  George and John are two of them.

Paul, I have another question.  Can you tell me where William Casson was born.  He was born in 1855, Yorkshire and died in 1943 in Iowa.

Also, I have that Charles Casson and Eliza Woods were married in 1851 in Highfield Independent Chapel in Huddersfield.  I'd like to find a picture but can't find it anywhere.  Could it have changed names?

Carol----William was born at Linthwaite, Yorkshire and at aged 6, was living at Ingfield Bottom, Linthwaite.

On the site here, do a search for Highfield Chapel and about 5 or 6 images of it at Huddersfield come up to view.
