One of the finest attractions in Dorset, Mapperton House & Gardens was 2020 winner of the Historic Houses ‘Garden of the Year’ award and voted ‘Nation’s Finest Manor House’ by Country Life. The stunning Jacobean manor which contains Earl of Sandwich's collection since the 1950s, overlooks beautiful Italianate gardens that contain an orangery, fountains and statues, topiary and grottoes, and lovely herbaceous borders. The lower informal gardens contain shrubs and rare trees, woodlands and a spring garden.
