Anyone into digitally altered photos, I put this fun site together to show some of my photos that I have played with. http://dougbain.wix.com/architestural-g

The images on Doug's site have a timeless and artistic quality, which is very pleasing.

I have tried this effect myself, and the technique certainly works well for architectural shots, where there is plenty of edge detail. I haven't submitted any of my own converted images to PoE because I didn't think they fitted the acceptance criteria. Maybe now is a good time to clarify whether 'artistically' altered images are accepted. I was under the impression that they were not.

You have some lovely images there Doug. I know I have the 'pencil' effect on Pixelmator but I've never really got to grips with altering images. I must have a try and see what I can come up with, I'll probably end up with a load of rubbish but it might be fun having a go.
