By then we had an stream runnin gwildly down the streetin flash flood mode going on. Hubby came out and said, what are you doing here... I said, watching the rain storm.... almost curb-side high...and if the water gets to much deeper I think we will have to go out back for sand and sand bag an bit across the driveway with trash bags. Keep it away from the house. It crested with barely inches from danger though...and 15 minutes later was an trickle of water headed to the storm drains. I cleaned the storm drains just in case another one came along...but the weather is taking an turn now to 91 degrees this Sunday...from an high of 60 some yesterday. Extreme weather these days. But we have our air purifier and conditioner hooked up for summer...so goes. I'm getting ready for the boy's graduations tomarow...and sissy's operation early the next day also. So, I have some kitty cat food to get and some things to mail off and had best get going for today..having slept in this morning. Have an good day everyone..where your at...smiles*

I was very proud of him also...and both grandparents showed up as well as his mother an dad...and I was going to shake his hand along with others and he up's an gives me an big hug. Granny could of cried about then. He is an kid much like myself..always busy, doing, and the one the mother's don't always like cause they won't sit sitll and hush up...more emotional at times...determined....not perfect in every way. So on to the next one at 5 pm, then I guess we have both boys tonight so mother an dad can be up at the hospital with sissy early in the morning...for the ear operation, I have flowers I'll be taking to the school tonight for that one...so they will be in her room when she gets back and they release her....something I've been doing ever since it started...and she always sends us an selfie cell phone photo.. from the hospital right before she heads out of recovery. Let us know she alright and everything is OK. Saves us an lot of time running around trying to find her. So I go for now and check out the yard since all the rain happened....it amazes me how God/creator can make things grow with hsi rain...must be bette then My rain maybe?...I see flowers groing upteen feet under his care. Talk to you later on. |

Sk Lawson![]() Posts: 4014 Joined: 7th Oct 2010 Location: USA | Posted at 03:53 on 7th June 2015 Never got washed out...di dthe same thing the second night...I went out tha tnight also with my Indian Goddess Statue and we said prayers together. I've been watching them over in India for an longtime and how they do "survival" after the Hurricanes hamper them. One ofmy gir;s use to work for me, her parents were missionaries in Bangladesh. They barely got back here with thier lives from and miltiary coup going on over there. I watched he Rose Parade this morning...and then we thought of going to the coast for the day...but I went out to make us lunch and burnt our corndogs, must of been making junch fro Satan as Red Elk would say...first time ever in 66 years...and from then on I WAS crabby ...and I was crabby all the way to an nursery to look at plants...we bought one and I wanted to go home and not take it with us....we pulled in and walked out back to find our sidewalk under water from an hose bursting bubble...so we never went anywhere. If we had of continued on all day long, it would of been one mess by the time we got home, which is an "JOE" thing..he had an leak in the water line to his water meter...he let it run for an solid year before he fixed it. He was always doing things like that, we...an service man and myself sat on my front porch and watched him play around on the lectric meter one early summer morning also. Not to long after that they sold their house an went to Corbett, where at that time the real crooks lived in society from what I've been told prior by others. I don' tknow if he was begin "funny" when he said he planted his maple tree over our street drain or not, it's an huge huge tree right now that needs tobe trimmed back as does my Oak trees out front. I asked the eletricity man when he came out if he would trim some of the branches cause none of us have the equiptment to do it ourselves, he told me to cut down my maple tree first...so I night just do that one of these days...and an tiny one compared to there's byut I honestly don' tthink she knows how to trim trees...and he shaped these trees to be cut down severly every three years for firewood, in an special way. Elks lodge has some trees trained like that also. But they do trim there's when needed and I don' t blame these people for not knowing what to do. She told me she'd like to put an flower bed there and Ihad to tell her to put it high enough to not be flooded over as if the curbside water gets to high, it goes over to her side of the yeard like an wild running creek. We do have quite an real tree problem here after them being 34 some years old. If we didn't have the trees, we'd be seeing heat waves rising off th eorad asphalt though through summer ...we'd be seeing kids as well as dogs walking on this hot payment over summer. And the Banishee/Wenatchee...Corbett wind is now blowing again drying things out where we are already in an drought condition...lack of Mt snow, etc. Our legacy left to us by sister in-law perhaps. The Rose parade was nice this morning though...until lunch time came, everything was going fairly decently. I've been writing my neighbor an Hawaiian travel Guide of everything that I've never seen from oodles of people have went over there so far.. like the Bishop Museum, or the Wakiki Aquarium, whihc just went through an 20 million renovation...and I'll know she will be there for the Pearl Harbor activites of her Navy husband. I set her an 4 star rated Coconut Cheesecake voted on by over 67,573 hits for the receipe. How to make an pineapple bird as an fresh fruit bowl for parties..some history that Wikipedia doesn't mention about the Lyman family...that founded Hilo Boarding School many years ago....connections to our Massachuestts kin on my Mother's side. With this wind I actually feel like I'm anywhere right now.... but where I live. Sissy did her best this time around then the last three times she's been through this operation...she was realeased around 1 pm to head back to her house and she was up and about without an lot of bandages on her head. Nor was she sick with Vertigo either. Anyway, I made the best of the flooded sidewalk by placing all my containers flowers it and let it water them all afternoon....... I guess I best get going for now. What is it Mr. Berkland keeps telling us...if someone gives you lemons...make lemonaide. He is an example of doing it also.
