Sk Lawson![]() Posts: 4014 Joined: 7th Oct 2010 Location: USA | Posted at 23:52 on 31st May 2015 I'm trying to James...we went toward Mt. Hood today...they added something up there, you can' t stop at any wayside view points without an $5.00 daily pass or $30 an year...so going through all those small towns...no one has time to stop now if it costs them money....they keep on going to the bigger towns toward Portland. I was out looking or hankering for some onion rings, wanted to stop at Tollgate Park to eat them and check out the creek there for it's volume of water content.....I got them, back at the place we use to go in the 50's here in town...as kids/teens.....Dea's "IN an Out"...whose sister had been our neighbor back in those days. I passes up the ususal blackberry shake I use to like back then with onion rings. Brought them home, not an ounce of greasyness either...very crunchy....I drizzled them with Bacon Flavored 1,000 salad dressing ..an nice strong diet "Coke"...I'm feeling satisfied. My hubby took one look and grabbed the biggest one also. Tomarrow is June 1st....I have never ever seen all the blackberries in bloom this yearly in the year in my lifetime until now. I'm told its because when we have rain, if hardly anything...an wind comes up to help dry things twice over again....and they ar blooming from lack of moisture. They use to bloom in late July...and be picked in August...they are now blooming with the Strawberries. Hubby tells me they are two weeks earlier this year then before also. Grits sent me 6 DVD's with old time texts on them and genealogy information...and one on Cherokee Medicine that the Shamans' use to do .Out of 5 texts...the only one that now remains. This man to write it had an interpreter change the wordage over to the Cherokee Symbology "Sequoah" developed and he translanted it from that... 1800's. It was archived at one time in the Cultural Native American area of some Museum is only why it exists today. They think the other texts have disappeared because it use to be looked down upon to say your "Inidan" stock culturally. The old saying..an good Indian was an dead Indian...so anything to do with them was usually destroyed...as well as them also. This one came from an area very familiar to most all looking for ancestor leanings....inter marriages...and captives at one time. Something that went underground during the famous "Trail of Tears" march into relocation to Oklahoma. It's interesting. For instance besides the blood and breathing, they consider mankind's" Saliva" important to good health also. They claim most "wasting away" in old age has something to do with an person's throat and Saliva. They claim illness is the result of thought processes that lay dormant in the body that can manifest and flare up under the correct circumstances...how they enter the body.... they are not sure of, but they do apparently. Possibly through the brain perhaps to be stored information...they didn't know. You see,I have not that problem with no hearing ability hardly....they always say that God has an purpose for everything that happens. As an healer, it's better to use your psychic abilties then your hearing...that and deams give an better diagnosis on an person's over all health and character. |

Sk Lawson![]() Posts: 4014 Joined: 7th Oct 2010 Location: USA | Posted at 21:17 on 1st June 2015 Now I am angry...second post I've lost today......I have been reading the books that I received as DVD's... real eye openers in some cases...reading two at the same time...the Medicine man one...and the early history of Virginia. I see now why there was so much more wrong before the Rev. War started...in trying to run this country so far from England. They had to go back to England's courts and most the time before that came about either the dirty politics bowed out of the country...the Indians had massacred everyone...and crimes committed galore. By the time the French and Indian War came along...the Native Americans on the warpath stooped to any kind of cruelty...includind burning at the stake for their prisoners..and swiping small kids after killing thier parents Even today I am told if I'm looking for an captive to look through the diaries of the British officers to see if they had bought them back from the Native Americans. Little kids under six years old, if not left with an older sister or brother probably grew up not knowing thier true last name. When Col. Mercer ot tired of it, he marched with his men into their area and released 3,000 of these kids. They made Robert Lawson and "Major" to go find them also down in the south. The book reads..these are the good guys...including some Indians also...and tells us why we should never forget them. What they did that we shouldn't forget in how to run our Government and it's laws also. Anyway, I woke up to rain...and showers still abound here and there...but it's quit for right now...we needed it though....and guess it's time to put on my shoes and pick up the mail. |

They are greedy and can't see 'beyond the end of the road'. People can't or won't pay for such 'luxuries' and so move on without giving it a second thought. Wonder who the loser is? Hi to all POEsters, have a great day... |

Sk Lawson![]() Posts: 4014 Joined: 7th Oct 2010 Location: USA | Posted at 21:40 on 2nd June 2015 I just had my post taken away again..before I had an chance to correct it. I would guess by now the FBI is monitoring and deleting anything they think should not be told that might help someone. The story I told was about going backwards on the Barlow TRail with our Scouts on an day "bike ride". Why that reoute on the trail was picked by our ancestors and should be preserved. How it teaches them what to look for in survival...and why. How they end up with an sense of self "accomplishment" of doing this day trip also. Guess what there's no noise, gasoline engine smell and an lot of people..but enough you could get help if needed. When they pass the three natural little springs that go over the road...Faith, hope, and charity..something like that ...they have crossed the summit and go into flat ground the rest of the way into an park and small lake with an view of what they just crossed and of Mt. Hood...Ok..time for some of my Indian Fry bread with honey and/or berry jam about now.. Some beef jerky and time to load up the bikes and drive back to the cars. We all get back into town before it's dark in the summertime. It's still showery outside but to clear up today....making an big hulla ballou about Oregon's recent off shore earthquake swarm, had five of them in 24 hours on the Blanco Fracture Zone...an different one then the Cascadia.... they say will some day produce an 9 pointer and kill or destroy most everything along the west coast from Seattle into California. From what I read this is normal right now going on... and someday (thousands of years possibly) we will have our own "Hawaii" 250 miles due west of mid-Oregon off the town of Newport. Firstly those volcanoes have to surface above the ocean waters though. But with the movie San Andres just released.... this is giving the area much attention....esp by the news media. My calendar next to me says ..that my birthday (June 13th) is the Queen's offical birthday this year..so is June 8th ...all except WA where ever that's at..but it does include AU and UK on the 13th....she has it celebrated on June 1st also as an public holiday in Ireland, New Zealand, western Austrailia. Party time??? Then Ramadan begins at sundown on June 17th....so you can atone for all the partying. It even then FAther's Day and Flag day here in the states June 21st....Busy month. I go for now...enjoy your day.
