I am new to this list site. I was wondering if there are other English transplants to the USA?

Hi Mary and a very warm welcome to POE (Pictures of England).  Smile

I am sure many POE members in the USA will be adding their stories here!

When did you transplant, where were you transplanted from in England. Tell us a little more!  You sound a little homesick!

There are thousands of pictures of England on POE for you to browse and a number of fun and informative forums/threads so do join in when ever you feel like it.

I moved to the USA 19 years ago next month. Seems like yesterday. Seems like forever.

Where do you move from and to?

Hi everyone,

I came over from Nottingham England with my Mum, Dad and brother  many years ago. My dad was brought over by Stromberg Carlson in Rochester, NY to work as an engineer we came for a year and ended up staying. I am now a US citizen but still think of myself as an Englishman. I am really enjoying looking at all the pictures of England posted here.

Mary

Slip of the tongue, eh, Mary.

I'm still an English citizen, I just can't let it go.

Hello Mary and Welcome.  I am not a transplant, but my DH is.  I lived across the pond for nearly 15 yrs and LOVED it.  DH has been here for 4 years and has become a US Citizen as well.
