The round door is hung on a single hinge designed by blacksmith Michael Coldren of North East, Md. Designing hardware strong enough to handle the torque of the circular door was one of the tougher challenges, according to the architect. The walls are plywood, trimmed out with Douglas fir details and in-filled with plaster. Above the plaster walls, the roof is supported with Douglas fir rafters and a glue-lam ridge beam, also trimmed with Douglas fir.

I think maybe I need to watch the movie now Diana!! Wink

You mean you haven't seen The Lord of the Rings? You don't know what you're missing! They're the most beautiful films ever made and you have to see them (but make sure you watch the special extended editions (they are so much better and give you a lot more important information)

They are so wonderfully enchanting and every scene moves in grace beyond compare. The music is transcendently dulcet and the magic of the trilogy will garner all your emotions before the they surge through your body like a scintillating tremor. When I watch them I just sit there with a glass of red wine and cry because something so wonderful is part of my life and I love it more than anything in the world.

Spoken like a true LOTR fan.

I too am a devoted LOTR fan. I even had the privilage of going to all three of the LOTR Oscar parties in LA, meeting the crew (including Peter Jackson, Barrie Osborne etc.) Artist (Alan Lee), cast (Elijah Wood, Billy Boyd ect), and especially other obnsessed LOTR fans. I even got to hold both of Richard Taylor's two Oscars he won for FOTR.

You must visit (and even join if you wish) our long running LOTR fan family over herhttp://lotrfanmb.com/msgbd/index.php .
