The English Heritage Festival of History brings even more of the story of England to life. Over 2000 historical re-enactors, performers and costumed interpreters present you with a fantastic selection of live shows and interactive experiences covering over two millennia of history.
Amongst the spectacular live shows this year, visitors will be able to get a ring side seat to see William the Conqueror defeat King Harold in the famous battle of 1066 and witness the last pitched battle of the War of the Roses. They can experience a replica of a World War I trench and then feel the ground shake as the Roman Army march past.
If all the action gets too much, visitors can relax on the Victorian Beach, take in a talk at the Festival of Historical Writing or browse the historic market place for gifts and treasures.
Please always contact the event organiser before travelling in case of late changes. See Booking Info above.
