About Durlston Country Park

This 100 hectare (270 acre) country park offers fantastic views and scenery, coupled with some of the best bird and animal watching to be found anywhere in Britain. You can find over 400 species of plant, over 250 species of birds, 34 species of butterfly, 10 species of Orthoptera (Grasshoppers/Crickets etc) and other insects. The whole area is an internationally important coastal landscape. There is an award winning 'lookout' cafe which has amazing views across the English Channel and the Isle of Wight and you will also find a fantastic Visitor Centre packed full of displays and information about the area.
