White Cherry in Sheringham Park Norfolk.

Loveliest of trees, the cherry now...Is hung with bloom along the bough...And stands about the woodland ride...Wearing white for Eastertide...Now, of my threescore years and ten...Twenty will not come again...And take from seventy springs a score...It only leaves me fifty more. The Anglo-Saxon Chronicle records that a Viking army raided the Hook Norton area in AD 913. Reports of a band of Hook Norton villagers arming themselves and attempting to fight a Viking raiding party have also been made, supported by finds in nearby fields.
