I love this shot from inside Castle Howard; it makes me think of Sebastian from Brideshead Revisited.

  OK help, I love these pics, and the one Stephanie and Sarah did they say from York when i click onto them,, but when I look at the map of England there is west york, south york, north york, Theres a lot of York over there so where are these from?;-)

Those photos are of the City of York compared to what you listed as West Yorkshire, South Yorkshire, North Yorkshire which are counties, if I understood your query correctly ?

Yes, Debbie, York is a city in the county of North Yorkshire.

Paul, here's one for you.  Why is East Yorkshire called the East Riding of Yorkshire, and what is a Riding anyway?
