With respect, I believe that when a poem has been represented here the author should be quoted.  In this case, Wolf, the author of your poem is John Paul Moore.

I should remind all that my poems are copyright, and should not be reproduced without my approval.  I say this because I will soon be having them, and many more, printed in Coffee Table book form.

Since my link to poetry appears to have ben locked, here is my latest:

Untitled Ode

Each dawning day do I try to comprehend

The magic that, with unreserved love, you send.

How would I survive without you at my side?

Not once have you, my love, denied -

And if I should ever spurn, instead

I’d kiss each tear- a pearl upon a silver thread

And if in haste I misjudge your intention

I will rue a thousand years, for my abstention.

I beg of you, do not judge me to be unkind

If, when we speak, I allow my absent mind

To wander from the words you express;

It is your beauty that I cannot suppress,

And which occupies my each individual thought.

It is your mystifying spell which you have brought

That hypnotizes me with every move you make.

It is your very presence which prompts my heart to ache.

Thanks for that Harry, it was sent to me in an e-mail with no author.

It is my belief that if poetry has to be shared by copyright permission only, then there is no point in wanting them to be shared by all. IMHO.

In humility, Wolf, and in view of my own circumstance, I refrained from stating that the proceeds from the sales of my book will all go to the Cancer Foundation.  If it it shared without reference, then no one wins

Regards,

Harry

I can see your point there Harry, and I admire your cause, as I said IMHO.

I write my poetry for the love of it and hope that others enjoy them too, and not for any  other gratification or reward.
