You're so right, Lorraine.  What a beauty spot.

December Beech Trees

Same spot in different seasons, as you mentioned in the description.  Truly lovely.  The sheep are pretty cool too.  lol

Hi all, this is a great place. Valley gardens - Windsor great park ( in the summer ) witch is by Viginia Water Lake on the A30 in Virinia Water Surrey. It is free to walk about but the car parking is expensive if you use one of the park - car parks. Great for a pick-nicks or a slow walk about with Saval Gardens round the corner and some great walks / pubs are in the area. Also check out the waterfall behind the Wheatsheaf Pub in the same area - A30 + Blackness rd.

Hi everyone,

I'd like to add Spurn Point as a beauty spot.

Spurn is three and a half miles long and only fifty metres wide in places, extending out in to the Humber estuary. The peninsula of sand and shingle, was an important Military base until the 1950's when they left and then in 1960 it was acquired by the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust. Located 20 miles from Hull in Humberside off the B1445. Spurn National Nature Reserve is approx. 0.5 mile south of Kilnsea. Parking facilities. Disabled parking at the Point and Blue Bell car parks.

Thanks Michael

I mistakenly thought I could use my own pics - there were none suitable on the site - but because approval is required they are obviously not showing up except on my own PC, and I was trying so hard not to look too much like a newbie . I'll post them into the Spurn Light house section, and move them should a Spurn Point section appear

regards

Paul
