So, on to a new thread.

I was just telling Ron how temps in the 80's feels cool compared to when its in the 100's. Plus we have a dry desert heat, much better than humid heat.

We won't need any weather forecasts for another couple of weeks.  This time of year it's hot and sunny - too sunny.  Summer rains usually begin about the 2nd week in July and cool it off some.  But our summer rains typically come in the form of afternoon and evening thunderstorms, which can be real gully washers, often with hail and damaging winds.

It was 115°F today.  It's about 110 now, at 7 PM.  Overnight low is supposed to be 87°,

My goodness, Ruth, that sounds so hot, but I have heard the dry heat is not as noticeable as the humid heat we get here. We've had 3 or 4 days of very nice weather. Sunny, but temps only in the 70s and low humidity. Supposed to stay that way for a few days and then back up again. It's not too bad when you get a few days break in between the heatwaves.

Hi Brenda!  Yes, it's hot, but not oppressively wearing the way hot and humid is.  But I do miss that lovely Pennsy weather in summer, cool nights and such.

That's the kind of nights we've had this week, Ruth. Down in the 50s at night which is really nice sleeping weather. I'd be happy if it stayed this way all summer. Did you live in PA before?

Cloudy, sun shining occasionally, muggy sort of feel and possible storms threatening.

We had some rocking thunder storms last night.

It was 96º F yesterday and today, well they don't think it will get much above 70º F. Next week, July 4th, 105 F.

All over the place. Still, we had rain with our lightening, so hopefully no fires.

Hot and humid.  We had a massive dust storm roll over Phoenix last night.  It was a thousand feet high and about 50 miles wide.  By the time it got to my house, it was about 9 PM, whilst I was on here last night.  I just happened to look out the window and it was dark out, but the sky was bright orange - really weird.  This morning there was a fine layer, like tan talcum powder over everything.

Here's a time-lapsed video of it.
