What is your weather like today?

It's finally melting here, some of the snow has been quite beautiful in other circumstances besides trying to get around in it. My back yard was an fantseyland of bushes in swirlied snow around them, my walkway was snow five feet high amoung bushes as if an solid army of snowdrift walkers.. walking  in formation tightly together, and the patio table had an 4 foot  round slab on it, but all kinds of weird shapes and the wind blew it into circular cones and lumps and bumps....and over and agaisnt in the wildest shapes. Now...as it melts..damage report on the vegetation. 

Biting cold!

The snow, still thick on the ground, has a hard crust of ice, it's like breaking glass when you walk over it, and driving in it is appalling.

It does transform this brown, barren Northern Nevada landscape into a winter wonderland though. It is very pretty.

Sunny today, but cold, presently 44° at 11:30 AM.  We might not see 50° today.  I had to bring in my patio plants last night.  I think it got down pretty close to freezing.  They had a dusting of snow yesterday in the mountains surrounding Phx.  Very pretty.  One of the suburbs called Carefree, Arizona, which is about 1,000 feet higher than where I am had a lovely little snowstorm yesterday too.  The forecast is to be back into the 60's within the next day or so, with plenty of sunshine.
