The early morning mist still hanging above the river ....The ruins of Chepstow Castle have a spectacular setting on cliffs over the River Wye. This powerful defensive position can best be seen from several points on the English side of the river. Entered by the Gateway at the lower end of town, its long shape, hugging the cliff edge, shows clearly its several stages of development from its early Norman beginnings.

So beautiful, pure magic atmosphere
Lovely shot Patrick, the mist just gives it thar edge
Great shot Patrick, the mist and the reflection of the bridge make this shot.
Superb Patrick, Chepstow Castle has a special meaning to us and to see a shot like this is wonderful. Thank you.
The elevated viewpoint and rolling mist, the nicely lit bridge and its reflection, all combine to make an appealing image.
Ticks all the boxes for me.
Great atmospheric picture .
