Girvan Harbour. Girvan is located 22 miles south of Ayr in Scotland. Originally a fishing port it became a traditional seaside resort. Culzean Castle is 8 miles north of the town and the once volcanic island of Ailsa Craig is visible offshore. The coastline south of Girvan is famous for its geology and abundance of fossils. Seals can often be seen swimming in the harbour water.
