This is Hawker Hunter T.7 XL623 and you may be surprised to learn it can be found in Woking town centre ! It is supported on a pole and positioned outside an enertainment called The Big Apple. When it was first set up ( 1998 I think ) it was painted- I have seen reference to it being black and other reports of it being in garish colours and the establishment was not the Big Apple but a family entertainments centre called Planets. Sculpture like this is not uncommon in Woking- more famous is the large Martian Walker ( images can be seen on POE )

A clean composition wth the sky complimenting the subject.
Great shot Vince, I agree with David, a nice clear sky compliments the picture.
The Hunter was a superb plane in its day.An unusual place for it to be though ?
