A picture of Melford Hall

Melford Hall, Long Melford, Suffolk. Late Tudor. Long the residence of the Hyde Parker family. Captain, later admiral Sir Hyde Parker fought in the battle for New York in the American Revolutionary War. His ship broke the colonial barrier in the Hudson River.
