The previous evening I had sat waiting silently and patiently for this beautiful bird to appear, and it did, the only thing was, I was so in awe I forgot to take any shots until after it had flown, result being many pictures of an empty branch, much to the amusement of my Husband. Next night, take two, again, silence, and he arrived again, this time I remembered and got the shots, he couldn't have been more obliging, as he sat for quite a while just looking in my direction.

Brilliant shot Karen. I haven't heard the familiar screech of one of these for a long time, and it's been even longer since I've seen one. When I was younger and lived with my parents on the Malvern hills they would be in our garden every night. Excellent to see this one.
