About Wayside House

Wayside House is a charming, extended, 17th century thatched cottage located in a rural setting on the ‘Macmillan Way’ walk between Bagborough and Triscombe on the southern slopes of the beautiful Quantock Hills.

The cottage sits in approximately one acre of garden and has wonderful views across to Exmoor and the Blackdown Hills. It’s location, which is equidistant (1 mile) from two very popular pubs, The Rising Sun and the Blue Ball, both well known for their excellent food, makes it ideal for walkers and cyclists.

From the front gate walkers need to simply cross the road to reach the start of Rock Lane which leads to ‘Wills Neck’ the highest point of the Quantock Hills.
