The poppy is perhaps the wildflower best associated with summer. This picture was taken on a recent holiday in Northumberland. This stand of poppies was found in Alnmouth between the end of the golf course and the shoreline where the River Aln meets the North Sea.

Stunning shot David, the red really leaps out of the picture.
Yes , the poppy does stand out well, almost a 3D effect to the shot.
Very striking and well executed picture. Should sell too in this the year that falls 100 years after the outbreak of WWI.
