Description

Unique Farm Implement Gate Boughton, Northampton

This unique gate, now at the entrance to a private driveway in the Northamptonshire village of Boughton, was made by the Northampton traction engine makers, Allchins. Before moving into the manufacture of steam traction engines, they produced agricultural tools. They produced this gate as a 'one-off', a tangible 'catalogue' of their products.
