Description

Whitby Church

Whitby with Ruswarp, Saint Mary the Virgin, Yorkshire. The image shows headstones that have been damaged by weather, time, and smoke. The black on the stones is soot which came from the smoke houses at the harbour, some 199 steps down to the harbour.
