I like this, Peter. It conjures up Saturday afternoons as a child/teenager: not in England, but here in Australia. Returning home after the matinee at the local cinema:that wonderful sense of time standing still: expectations to come!! Arriving home to a cosy fire and Dr Who on the tele!!
