Barbara, what would be the purpose of the round tower? Wonder if it was an original part of structure or maybe added for protection in battle.

Round towered churches are rarely found other than Norfolk and Suffolk where there are about 200. Round Towers Church Society Crabbe Hall Burnham Market Kings Lynn Norfolk PE31 8EN are a charity group that might help.
