By lancashirelove

St Annes and its sister town Lytham lay at the southern end of Lancashires Fylde coast. 4 miles north is the fun town of Blackpool, boasting the best pleasure rides in Europe. North of Blackpool is the small coastal town of Cleveleys, catering for the more mature visitor and it new £20 million promenade. whilst just north of their lies The old fishing port of Fleetwood with its new yaughting marina and Freeport shopping centre. All these towns boast a stretch of 13 miles of beach which is the Fylde coast.
southport and merseyside lie only 13 miles south of ltham but beware there are no bridges or ferries crossin the Ribble esuary so it does mean a long drive into Preston before heading back out to Merseyside. A good hours drive away.
