About Newington

Newington is a village in the borough of Swale, Kent. It has its own railway station situated on the Chatham main line between Sittingbourne and Rainham.

Its parish church of St Mary the Virgin was built between 1163 and 1177 by Richard de Lucy and is a Grade I listed building. The village also has at least 4 World War I pill boxes at various locations throughout.
