Description

The Hermitage, Bicton

The Hermitage was built in 1839 and is clad with thousands of "fish scale" wooden shingles. The area surrounding it has a notable collection of Dwarf Conifers and heathers and overlooks a small lake and "Fairy Garden" with a stream cascading over waterfalls.
