In southern Cumbria, Birchleigh Guest House in Grange-over-Sands enjoys a coastal location just 2 miles from the Lake District National Park. This luxurious bed and breakfast offers rooms with attached bathroom with free on-site parking and Wi-Fi. All rooms have a flat-screen TV, desk, alarm clock and tea and coffee facilities. Each private bathroom has a shower, hairdryer and complimentary toiletries, and there is a separate bathroom which guests can use if needed. Locally sourced full English breakfast is served each morning, along with cereals, toast and fresh fruit. There are also several local shops and cafés just along the street. Grange-over-Sands Train Station is around 10 minutes’ walk away, with pick-up from the station available if required. The town is around 11 minutes’ drive from Newby Bridge, a Lake District village to the south of Lake Windermere, where you can join the picturesque Lakeside and Haverthwaite steam railway in peak season.
