Looking across to the west from the unclassified road out of Ambleside that leads to Wansfell. Loughrigg just caught in a patch of sunlight with Lord Crag and Heron Pike just in view on the western flanks of the Fairfield Horseshoe and in the distance the fells around Grasmere. May 2014. It did get brighter although very windy at the top of Wansfell

Stunning view Dave and the moody clouds along with the patch of sunlight bring the whole picture alive.
That sky looks very threatening Dave. I have to agree with Vince the patch of sunlight does bring the picture alive.
