About The Eden Project

This is a joyous celebration of precious plant life established as a millennium project to mark the birth of the 21st century. It is a vast panorama of plants and their relationship with people viewed beneath huge greenhouses, the whole covering many acres where you can see exhibitions, learn of plant life and crops through stories, art, workshops and lectures.

Since its opening, The Eden Project has been an outstanding success it is now one of the U.K's "must sees" of any tourist itinerary. Few destinations provide such a remarkable facility for Eden is not just about its state of the art building, nor the fact that it has up to the minute equipment but more importantly it provides all of us with a unique insight as to the harmony of the natural world both here and in the wider world, and how it can combine for the good of mankind.

There are humid tropics to explore as well as the great outdoors and warmer climates. You can even experience the sights, sounds and tastes of India with the Eden Projects "Barefoot at Eden" exhibition, this is a celebration of Indian art and music mixed with best of Cornish culture.

The Eden Project is a place for everyone no matter what age, children are well catered for, here they will see, hear and learn so much and will be fascinated by the huge almost "football" shaped domes they visit. Where else in just one day can you experience the thrill of a South American tropical rain forest, enjoy Tropical ocean islands, visit West Africa, the Malaysian rainforest and the Mediterranean, and after all of this you may take a trip to California and South Africa. Throughout this spectacular journey you get to meet the plants that changed the world, plants that move, one's that take care of themselves and perhaps best of all for the children, experience the plants that make chocolate and chewing gum!
