About Temple Sowerby House Hotel

Situated in the Eden Valley, our hotel is one of the most relaxing award- winning country house hotels in Cumbria. With so much to do within easy reach, Temple Sowerby is an ideal base for touring the region. The House dates from 1727 and was formerly the principal residence within the village. There are 12 individually styled, non-smoking rooms, which now include 2 deluxe rooms with aqua massage baths. Many have views either over the gardens or toward Cross Fell, the highest peak in the Pennines, which dominates the skyline to the North. Comfortable lounges, open fires and great food combine with the peaceful garden setting to create the uniquely relaxing ambiance that is Temple Sowerby House.
