High lovelady Shield

High Lovelady Shield Bastle House is a small medieval pele tower, which was absorbed in the complex alterations of a substantial, 17th century stone two storey fortified farmhouse. At the front of the tower, a ground floor mullioned window has a 1691 datestone and on the southern gable is a steeply-pitched heather thatch roof line, with a 1720 datestone on a doorhead to the rear.
