Britannia Inn Elterwater Started our walk from the car park a couple of hundred yards away and this was a very welcome sight some 4 hours or so later. The Britannia Inn a really pleasant country pub with a good selection of beverages and serving excellent food.....at least it looks excellent, not eaten here yet. Leaping fish The weir on Great Langdale Beck about half a mile or so west of Elterwater. Look very carefully for right and you can see a fish trying to leap the weir. The wife saw it and I only knew I'd got it when I checked the screen. Didn't see any more attempts so we assume he made it! Britannia Inn, Elterwater The Britannia Inn at Elerwater. Many local walks start and finish here as well as being a stopping place on the route of many more.
