Shibden House Shibden Hall originated circa 1420. It has been altered and added to many time but the Tudor half timbered front is a prominent feature. At one time it was the home of the diarist Anne Lister (1791-1840) whose life was featured in the BBC program “Gentleman Jack”. The Hall is now a museum which houses many furnished rooms and various collections of vehicles, crafts and trade tools of the 19th Century. It is a grade 2 listed building.
