The statue of David Livingstone

The statue stands a short distance uphill from Rotten Row where Livingstone took his first lodgings in Glasgow after walking through the snow from Blantyre in the winter of 1836-1837. Shortly afterwards he moved a little further downhill to lodgings in the High Street. Glasgow Cathedral in the background.
