Very unusual subject. I live in Leicestershire, and it's the first time to have seen this new sculpture. The birds like it!

Thanks, yes a statue picture is just not complete without some kind of bird sitting on someone's head! I'm not sure how old this is now as I seem to remember it from a few years back.Apparently Leicester may have got its name from King Leir of Britain, a mythological pre-Roman king whose body is supposedly buried under the River Soar around here.
