Description

A picture of Hardwick Village

Near the little hamlet of Hardwick in Nottinghamshire can be found this long but shallow ford through the River Poulter after the weir at Clumber Lake. With a cobbled base, which can be very slippery, it is about 40 yards in length but normally only 3 or 4 inches deep.
