Description

West front of the Salisbury Cathedral, Wiltshire

The West Front of the Cathedral of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Commenced 1220, built of local limestone and purbeck stone. The Cathedral spire was finally completed in 1320, having evolved from the originalcentral tower.
