Caen Hill Locks, Devizes

Caen Hill Locks are a flight of 29 locks on the Kennett and Avon Canal near Devizes. Built in 1810. The overall rise is 237 feet over a distance of two miles. There is a pump at the bottom which can return 2 million gallons of water back to the top per day.
